MCATTCI now an ATI accredited Extension Service Provider

Awarding of the ESP accreditation to Engr. Irene B. Bringas, TVI President

Mt. Carmel Agri-Tourism and Training Center, Inc. (MCATTCI) is now an accredited Extension Service Provider by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI).

In the three-day Extension Partners’ Forum held at Rural Development Education Center (RDEC), ATI Building, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City, the ATI Deputy Director Ms. Antonieta J. Arceo, and the National Extension Service Provider Council awarded the Certificate of Accreditation to the representative of MCATTCI.

The ATI taps the services of the external service providers to hasten the delivery of extension services of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and to provide opportunities and wider participation of the private sector in the conduct of agricultural extension services. ATI is the training arm of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and has been offering free training through their accredited ESPs.

MCATTCI has its on-going Three-Year Diploma in Agricultural Technology (DAT) training under Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA) of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

The program teaches students practical and theoretical skills in animal production, crop production, post-harvest technology, pest management and agri-business management. With the ESP accreditation from ATI, MCATTCI is hoping to get new training grants that will give more opportunities to the aspiring agriculturists.
